About Us

House of Wellness (HOW) exists as a sanctuary for Black women and women of color to embrace and prioritize their wellness journeys, with a special focus on Pilates. While HOW was birthed out of a desire to create a safe, empowering space for Black women and WOC, it is a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can connect, grow, and thrive.

At HOW, we are breaking down barriers in the wellness industry by fostering an empowering community that celebrates diversity, accessibility, and holistic well-being. Our space is more than a studio—it’s a place where representation matters, wellness is accessible to all, and everyone is encouraged to reconnect with their body, mind, and spirit.

We offer affordable pricing to help you reach your wellness goals and host community events every 4–6 weeks, including wellness walks from spring through early fall, to bring people together and nurture a sense of community and belonging.

Meet the Heart and Founder Behind House of Wellness

Sosha

Sosha is the owner and lead teacher of House of Wellness (HOW). With nearly 8 years of experience in Pilates and extensive training in both mat and reformer techniques, she has dedicated her life to the transformative power of wellness.

Sosha’s journey has been deeply personal and, at times, isolating. As a Black woman, she often found herself as the only one in many studios, feeling overlooked and unsupported. Despite her passion for Pilates, she struggled to find a space that aligned with her values and vision for wellness.

Recognizing the need for a supportive and inclusive environment, God has Sosha was inspired to create House of Wellness. This sanctuary was designed to ensure Black women and women of color feel seen, supported, and empowered. HOW is a place where everyone, regardless of where they are in their wellness journey, is welcomed with care and encouragement.

At HOW, clients are never just a number. Sosha and her team make it a priority to know each individual by name, celebrate their progress, and offer unwavering support. The mission of HOW extends beyond Pilates—it’s about fostering a sense of belonging, empowerment, and building a nurturing community.

Sosha credits her journey to Christ’s divine guidance, her supportive husband, and her dedicated team. She is deeply thankful for the community of clients and supporters who believe in her mission. House of Wellness is more than just a studio—it’s a home for everyone.
